THANE: Five bars, including two orchestra bars, were sealed in Thane city by the municipal corporation for violation of Covid safety norms.
A team that visited the facilities spotted visitors and staff not following social distancing and many were not wearing masks. The teams recorded the situation and subsequently took action.
“We have been appealing residents and owners of commercial units including retsuarants and bars to adhere to safety norms in the wake of rising covid cases. We will intensify our drives now,” said a civic official.
