Victoria is inching closer towards a relaxing of current COVID-19 restrictions after another day of strong infections results.
Victoria has recorded no new cases of coronavirus on Monday, increasing the chances of health officials relaxing current COVID-19 restrictions across the state.
The Department of Health reported no new infections in the past 24 hours from 8,277 tests.
There are 25 active cases across the state.
Victorians must wear face masks outdoors and indoors at all times, and limited to gatherings of five in private indoor settings and 20 outdoors.
But the measures could be relaxed on Friday if the state continued a trend of low daily case numbers.
Minister for health Martin Foley will address the media later on Monday at 10am.
